The easiest airport to arrive at is Los Cabos International in San Jose del Cabo. You can also drive from La Paz airport to the north but it is about an hour longer. There are flights from most major airports in the US and Canada.

Most people coming to Cabo Pulmo rent a car as the taxi is expensive and then you have no way of getting around. There are many rental agencies at Los Cabos airport, the most convenient are Thrifty, National, and Dollar.

It is important to reserve your car either through the agency or over the Internet before traveling.

Cabo Pulmo is an easy 1.5 hour drive north and east from the airport at San Jose del Cabo (Los Cabos).

After exiting the airport take Highway 1 north towards La Paz. You will pass the crossroads to Miraflores and then to Santiago before coming to the small village of Las Cuevas and the exit to La Ribera. Here you leave Highway 1 and drive east towards the Sea of Cortez.

Upon approaching La Ribera take the right fork and drive south to Cabo Pulmo. About six miles (nine kilometers) before reaching Cabo Pulmo the pavement turns to gravel which can be rough but is passable in a regular car.

Drive through Baracas, where you will see signs promoting Cabo Pulmo, and continue until you are at the top of a rise with a group of native palm trees on your right and a vista of Cabo Pulmo below. Now you can see why we call it Paradise With an Ocean View.
